Last Updated: 27th Feb, 2026   |   Effective Date: 27th Feb, 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Katy Stevenson Hypnotherapy ("Katy Stevenson", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at ("https://www.hypnokaty.com/training"), your completion of any booking or enquiry form on the Website, and your participation in any discovery call, consultation, or hypnotherapy programme offered by Katy Stevenson.

By accessing our Website, submitting a booking request, or booking and attending a discovery call, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Website or submit a booking request.

2. About Katy Stevenson — Service Provider Details

The services described on this Website are provided by:

Full Name:  Katy Stevenson

Country of Operation:  United Kingdom

Email:  katy@katystevenson.com

Katy Stevenson is a qualified and practising hypnotherapist based in the United Kingdom. She operates as a sole trader.

If you have any questions about these Terms or our services, please contact us at the email address above before proceeding with any booking.

3. Nature of Services

3.1 What We Offer

Katy Stevenson offers professional hypnotherapy services, including but not limited to:

  • One-to-one hypnotherapy sessions (online and/or in person, as specified)

  • Structured hypnotherapy programmes and packages

  • A complimentary or paid initial discovery call / consultation call to discuss your goals and explore whether our services are a suitable fit for you

  • Supporting resources, audio recordings, or materials provided as part of a programme

3.2 The Discovery / Consultation Call

The booking form on our Website is designed to allow prospective clients to schedule an initial discovery or consultation call with Katy Stevenson. This call is a confidential, no-obligation conversation and is not a therapy session.

The purpose of the discovery call is to:

  • Understand your goals and the areas you are seeking support with

  • Explain how hypnotherapy works and how Katy's approach may be of benefit

  • Answer any questions you may have about the process

  • Determine whether working together is a suitable and safe fit for both parties

Booking a discovery call does not constitute entering into a contract for paid hypnotherapy services. A separate agreement will be entered into if you choose to proceed with a paid programme or sessions.

3.3 Hypnotherapy is Not a Medical Service

Hypnotherapy is a complementary practice and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or regulated healthcare services.

Katy Stevenson does not diagnose medical conditions. By booking a discovery call or engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Hypnotherapy is a complementary, not medical, service

  • You should continue to follow any advice or treatment provided by your GP, consultant, or other healthcare professionals

  • If you are currently under the care of any healthcare professional, you will inform Katy Stevenson of this before the discovery call

  • In certain circumstances, Katy may require a letter of support from your GP or healthcare professional before commencing sessions

4. Eligibility to Use Our Services

To book a discovery call or use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must submit the booking on your behalf and provide written consent before any session takes place.

  • Be located in the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction where accessing hypnotherapy services online is lawful

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information on our booking form

  • Not be in a situation that requires immediate emergency medical support. If you need urgent support, please contact your GP or call NHS 111.

We reserve the right to decline a booking or to end a discovery call if we reasonably believe that our services are not appropriate or safe for you at that time. This will always be communicated with care and compassion, and we will do our best to direct you to more suitable resources.

5. Booking and Scheduling Your Discovery Call

5.1 How to Book

You can book a discovery call by completing the booking form on our Website and selecting an available time slot. Upon submission, you will receive an automated booking confirmation to the email address you provided, along with a calendar invitation and any joining instructions (such as a video call link).

5.2 Accuracy of Booking Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide on the booking form is accurate and up to date. This includes your name, email address, contact number, and any details you share about your goals or areas of focus. Providing false or misleading information may result in cancellation of your booking.

5.3 Confirmation of Booking

Your booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us or the third-party booking platform we use (such as Calendly or Acuity Scheduling). If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours of submitting your booking request, please contact us at katy@katystevenson.com.

5.4 Time Zones

All appointment times displayed on our booking system are shown in UK time (GMT or BST, depending on the time of year). It is your responsibility to convert this to your local time zone if you are based outside the UK.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

6.1 Cancellation by You

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your discovery call, we ask that you provide at least [24 / 48] hours' notice. You can cancel by:

  • Using the cancellation link in your booking confirmation email

  • Emailing us at katy@katystevenson.com

Cancellations made with less than [24 / 48] hours' notice may not be eligible for rescheduling at our discretion, particularly during periods of high demand.

6.2 Rescheduling

You may reschedule your discovery call once free of charge, provided you give at least [24 / 48] hours' notice. Rescheduling requests made with less notice will be accommodated at our discretion and subject to availability. You can reschedule using the link in your booking confirmation email or by contacting us directly.

6.3 No-Shows

If you do not attend your booked discovery call without prior notice (a 'no-show'), your booking slot will be forfeited. We may allow you to rebook on one further occasion at our sole discretion. Repeated no-shows may result in us being unable to accommodate future booking requests from you.

6.4 Cancellation by Katy Stevenson

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a discovery call in exceptional circumstances, such as illness, personal emergency, or unforeseen technical difficulties. In such cases, we will notify you as promptly as possible and offer you the next available appointment. We will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by such cancellations where they are outside of our reasonable control.

7. Your Conduct and Responsibilities

By booking and attending a discovery call, you agree to:

  • Attend the call at the agreed time, from a private, quiet environment where you feel comfortable speaking openly

  • Treat Katy Stevenson with courtesy and respect at all times

  • Disclose any relevant medical or health information that may be pertinent to whether hypnotherapy is suitable for you

  • Not record, share, or reproduce any part of the discovery call without our prior written consent

  • Not engage in any disruptive, abusive, threatening, or offensive behaviour during the call. We reserve the right to end any call immediately if such behaviour occurs.

You acknowledge that the effectiveness of hypnotherapy depends in part on your openness, willingness, and active participation. Katy Stevenson cannot and does not guarantee specific outcomes from sessions or programmes.

8. Fees, Payment, and Refunds

8.1 Discovery Call Fee

The initial discovery call is currently offered free of charge. If a fee applies, this will be clearly stated on the booking page before you confirm your booking.

8.2 Paid Programmes and Sessions

If you decide to proceed with a paid hypnotherapy programme or individual sessions following your discovery call, the fees, payment schedule, and refund terms applicable to those services will be set out in a separate client agreement or service contract, which you will be asked to review and sign before any payment is taken.

8.3 Payment Processing

Where payment is required, it will be processed securely through our third-party payment provider [e.g., Stripe, PayPal — insert relevant provider]. Katy Stevenson does not store your payment card details. All transactions are subject to the terms and conditions of the payment processor used.

8.4 Refund Policy for Discovery Calls

If you have paid for a discovery call and cancel with [24 / 48] hours or more notice, you will receive a full refund processed within [5-10] working days. Cancellations made with less notice or no-shows are not eligible for a refund unless exceptional circumstances apply, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

8.5 Consumer Rights

As a consumer in the United Kingdom, you may have certain statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. These Terms do not affect or limit your statutory rights in any way. Where a service is booked and delivered entirely online (such as a video call), your right to a 14-day cooling-off period may apply before the service commences. Please contact us if you wish to exercise this right.

9. Confidentiality

9.1 Our Commitment to You

Katy Stevenson treats everything you share during a discovery call or any subsequent sessions with the strictest confidence. Your personal circumstances, health information, and the content of your sessions will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent, except in the specific circumstances described below.

9.2 Limits of Confidentiality

There are limited circumstances under which we may be required or ethically obligated to break confidentiality. These include:

  • Where you disclose information that leads us to believe there is a serious and immediate risk to your safety or the safety of another person

  • Where we receive a lawful instruction from a court, law enforcement agency, or regulatory authority to disclose information

  • Where disclosure is required to prevent a serious crime

In such circumstances, we will endeavour to inform you of the disclosure unless doing so would put you or others at greater risk, or is prohibited by law. We will only disclose the minimum amount of information necessary.

9.3 Supervision and Professional Development

As part of Katy Stevenson's ongoing professional development and as required by [relevant professional body, e.g., NCH, GHSC, AfSFH], she participates in regular professional supervision. Case material may be discussed with a qualified professional supervisor on an anonymised basis to ensure the highest quality of client care. Supervisors are bound by their own confidentiality obligations.

9.4 Your Confidentiality Obligations

You agree to keep confidential any materials, content, techniques, or proprietary information shared with you as part of our services. You may not disclose, reproduce, or share such information with any third party without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties and Results

While Katy Stevenson is a trained, experienced, and passionate hypnotherapy practitioner who is committed to delivering a high quality and professional service, we cannot make guarantees about specific outcomes or results.

Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or limit liability.

12.3 Your Content

By submitting information through our booking form or communicating with us, you grant Katy Stevenson a limited licence to use that information for the purpose of providing our services to you and as set out in our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of any information or content you provide.

13. Duty of Care
